FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE--February 25, 2005
Colorado Springs, Colo. – February 25, 2005 – PorchLight
Communications announced today that it has been selected to provide
fiber optic network services to Saddleback Ridge Condominiums. An
advanced fiber optic infrastructure allows efficient delivery of
next generation IP communication services such as local and long
distance telephone service, high speed internet access, home
security and DirecTV Digital Television under one billing platform,
on a single network.
Under the terms of the contract, PorchLight Communications will be
the exclusive provider of local and long distance services along
with Internet access, home security, and DirecTV digital television
under one billing platform.
“Our agreement with Saddleback Ridge Condominiums was reached
largely due to our strong partnership with the developer, Colorado
Coastal Development Company. CCDC had a vision to deploy next
generation communications and infrastructure to their residents.”
said Robert Athey, CEO of PorchLight Communications.
“With an eye to the future, we have elected to partner with
PorchLight Communications to provide fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) in our
neighborhoods – offering the most reliable and secure communications
infrastructure available today. Saddleback Ridge offers
homeowners the highest quality, state of the art fiber optic
communications services at a significant savings. By building
a fiber optic infrastructure, Saddleback Ridge has eliminated the
limitations of copper wiring, brining reliable, ultra-high bandwidth
right into our residents' living rooms.” said Lowell Moore, Managing
Partner of Colorado Coastal Development Company.
“Besides the convenience of a single service provider bringing the
residents of Saddleback Ridge local and long distance phone service,
digital television, home security and ultra high-speed internet
access, the fiber optic infrastructure allows transport for future
technologies that where once restricted by the limitations of copper
networks. The limits of fiber aren't even known. Every
generation of fiber optic technology increases network speed
substantially, using the same exact fiber as the previous
generation. This “future proofing” adds value to the home.”
said Corey Smith, CTO of Porchlight Communications.
